Job Overview

Catamount Constructors is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in managing and mitigating risk across our projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Systems: Continuously update and maintain our ERM systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data management related to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Pre-Qualification Processes: Oversee the pre-qualification process for subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with risk management standards and requirements.
  • Insurance Program Management: Manage the company's insurance programs, including but not limited to general liability, workers' compensation, and other relevant policies.
  • Review Insurance Requirements: Review and analyze insurance requirements for all new projects to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
  • Builders' Risk Policy Management: Oversee Builders' Risk policies to ensure they adequately protect the company's interests and assets.
  • Risk Management Education: Identify and manage any gaps in professional skills and experiences related to risk management, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Claims Management: Manage insurance claims effectively and efficiently, working closely with insurers and legal teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • EMR Management: Collaborate with Safety Department, Workers Compensation, and Operations program to effectively aid in management of EMR and other Safety metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry or insurance sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and practices, with a strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in ERM systems and data management tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ARM, CRM) are a plus.
