Role Summary:

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for upholding the cleanliness of patient areas and hospital facilities. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a sanitary environment. The associate will demonstrate proficiency in using the appropriate cleaning agents and supplies as per established protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine cleaning of designated areas, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Perform various environmental services tasks, including daily sanitization with approved disinfectants, high dusting, and window cleaning.
  • Ensure all tiled surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, free from dust and stains, and that corners and edges are maintained.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals according to safety procedures, ensuring proper dilution and labeling.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment properly, reporting any safety hazards as necessary.
  • Manage the disposal of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
  • Distribute and collect linens in patient areas as required.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and the use of disinfectants to minimize infection risks.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
