Assistant Professor of Finance

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Finance to join our tenure-track faculty at the University of Alabama's Culverhouse College of Business. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for teaching finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in published articles in top-tier scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the department, college, and university.
Key Responsibilities- Teach finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, including courses in financial management, investments, and corporate finance.
- Develop and maintain a research program that results in published articles in top-tier scholarly publications.
- Perform service as assigned by the department, college, and university, including committee work, advising students, and participating in departmental and college-level initiatives.
- Ph.D. in Finance or a related field (in hand or completed by the start date).
- A strong research agenda and a track record of publishing in top-tier scholarly publications.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to student learning.
- Experience teaching finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- A strong network of professional contacts in the finance field.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
