We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Counselor to join our team at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare billing and financial counseling, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and contact patients regarding delinquent accounts and payment arrangements.
- Communicate with patients to discuss payment policy, payment plans, and accept payments.
- Prepare patient correspondence and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor patient account activity and take appropriate action.
- Process, post, and balance patient payments daily.
- Respond to inquiries from attorneys and patients.
- Identify and resolve patient billing complaints and issues.
- Support the A/R team as needed.
- 1 year of healthcare billing or financial counseling experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
