As a Production Shift Leader, you will be responsible for effectively overseeing and guiding production and support staff during your designated shift. Your primary objective will be to ensure customer satisfaction, contribute to the organization's success, and improve company performance in areas such as quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adjust and monitor molding parameters to maximize product output while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Lead a team in executing daily production operations, scheduling tasks, providing training, and overseeing maintenance activities.
- Engage in problem-solving initiatives to implement corrective actions and foster continuous improvements.
- Coordinate the availability and maintenance of tooling and equipment.
- Ensure a safe working environment and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Supervise adherence to company policies and relevant regulations.
- Recruit and develop production and support personnel.
- Provide necessary assistance to team members.
- Validate new mold setups and oversee production processes.
- Monitor employee attendance, conduct performance evaluations, and implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Collaborate with the production manager to address any issues impacting quality and delivery schedules.
- Ensure the accuracy of shift reports.
- Utilize Plex for effective product management and tracking.
- Document any tool or machine damage that occurs during the shift.
- Complete daily supervisory checklists.
- Manage additional tasks assigned by the Production Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of plastic injection molding machinery and materials.
- Familiarity with mold setup and teardown processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Understanding of quality management systems based on ISO standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and supervisory roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position may require frequent bending, squatting, and lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The Production Shift Leader will report directly to the Production Manager.
