Job Title: Field Operations Supervisor

At Congruex, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project sites to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Plan, monitor, and report on aerial and underground fiber optic construction crew progress.
  • Investigate planned pathways to identify and mitigate roadblocks.
  • Represent Congruex and clients in a professional manner, fostering a healthy workplace environment.
  • Ensure all permits are in hand prior to work commencement and that work is performed in accordance with permit requirements.
  • Work transparently and proactively to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Inform supervisors and subcontractors of construction schedule changes, change orders, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Provide schedule and project database updates, reporting regularly to the Construction Manager to keep them informed of job progress, plans, and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
  • Drive results through transparency in project progress.
  • Confirm locates are completed and current prior to construction.
  • Conduct QA/QC on work completed and coordinate with the Construction Manager to complete as-builts.
  • Report on production complete daily, capturing quantities for work performed.
  • Manage compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards and specifications.
  • Perform equipment, material, and routine site inspections, completing and filing appropriate forms to ensure compliance.
  • Attend regular meetings with vendors, managers, and staff.
  • Travel to and supervise multiple job sites during the day.
Requirements:
  • Experience in aerial and underground telecommunications construction methods and specifications.
  • Experience in construction quality management and assurance.
  • Understanding of fiber splicing and testing.
  • Ability to execute tasks derived from contract language.
  • Quality-driven.
  • Proactively and consistently adherent to safe work practices.
  • Ability to see, read, and redline construction prints.
  • Able to manage relationships and resolve conflict.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Physical requirements:
    • Ability to stand, stoop, squat, and bend for extended periods.
    • Ability to walk for extended periods and/or long distances.
    • Ability to navigate through potential uneven walkways/terrain.
    • Tolerant to extreme elements (heat, sun, wind, rain, snow, etc.).
    • Good vision and depth perception (corrective lenses OK).
    • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift 10lbs minimum and potentially up to 50lbs.
