Company Overview:
Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is in search of a seasoned Lead Sediment Remediation Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with extensive technical expertise to spearhead significant contaminated sediment initiatives across various regions.

Position Summary:
The primary focus of this role involves managing high-profile projects, primarily located in the Pacific Northwest, while also extending support to similar endeavors throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing assessments, feasibility studies, and remedial designs for intricate sediment sites in diverse environments.
  • Conducting work in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Planning and supervising environmental sampling initiatives, ensuring rigorous evaluation of laboratory data.
  • Developing comprehensive conceptual site models and conducting feasibility studies to assess remedial alternatives.
  • Implementing innovative solutions for the remediation of contaminated sediment sites.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and regulatory bodies regarding project management and technical matters.
  • Creating sediment remedial design plans and managing construction oversight and quality assurance.
  • Leading a team dedicated to sediment investigation and remediation while collaborating with regional experts.
  • Engaging in business development efforts to expand our project portfolio and client relationships.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or regulatory roles.
  • The ability to lift and manage equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) credentials in the relevant states or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • A Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification in OSHA HAZWOPER.
  • Experience with drafting and geospatial design tools.
  • Fieldwork experience in environmental assessments and construction oversight.
