Job Summary

Signature Homes NSH Corp is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Representative to join our team in Hoover, AL. As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing payment
  • Enter invoice and general ledger data into accounting software with high accuracy
  • Process credit card payments and reconcile statements
  • Run AutoPay reports to pay vendors with purchase orders
  • Verify general ledger codes and process payments for all bills
  • Obtain and print signatures on checks
  • Upload EFT payment files to the bank
  • Reconcile vendor statements when received
  • Communicate with business partners and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries
  • Participate in ad hoc accounting projects, financial analysis, and reporting as needed
  • Manage vendor relationships, including setting up new vendors and updating vendor records
  • Assist the Controller and CFO as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and procedures
  • 2+ years experience in an accounting team is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize work and work effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
