Job Overview

Position starts at $17.00 with annual merit increases and production bonuses. POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in overseeing the daily functions, leadership, and management of a retail establishment and donation center. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage the opening and closing procedures of the retail outlet, including all administrative tasks such as bank deposits and securing the premises as directed by management.
  2. Handle customer service issues, including processing refunds and addressing complaints to ensure a positive experience for customers and donors.
  3. Make staffing and production decisions to align with financial and operational goals in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  4. Oversee the management of donated goods to maximize sales potential while adhering to established guidelines.
  5. Coordinate inventory shipments and adjust stock levels to meet sales objectives effectively.
  6. Organize merchandise displays by categorizing and arranging items according to established visual standards.
  7. Assist with various store roles as needed to maintain operational flow.
  8. Report any security concerns or theft incidents to the appropriate management personnel.
  9. Supervise store staff and activities in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, ensuring adherence to company policies.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Retail Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing store employees and their activities. This includes training staff, planning and delegating tasks, addressing employee concerns, and reporting significant issues to management.

ADDITIONAL TASKS

Undertake other job-related responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant retail experience or two years of general retail experience.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
