About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our General Assembly Department at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving current production processes, coordinating vehicle launches, and serving as a technical expert for assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert for assigned areas during vehicle launches, providing guidance and support to team members and team leaders.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and continuously improve the performance of assigned areas, focusing on safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem-solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.
  • Training and Development: Serve as a technical expert for team members and team leaders, providing technical training and support as required.
  • Production Support: Support daily production issues as required, ensuring smooth operation of assigned areas.
  • Technical Development: Continuously review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare presentations and reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management.
  • Labor Allocation: Understand and control labor allocation, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-10 years of job-related experience in an engineering/industrial environment, preferably in automotive machining processes, tooling capability, and dimensional quality systems.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
