General Function:
This role is responsible for the creation, management, coordination, and presentation of all merchandising elements within retail locations. The position involves preparing and evaluating merchandising strategies for stores.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with retail teams to establish and uphold the visual standards and presentation of stores, particularly during grand openings.

- Assist the lead regional merchandising specialist with daily operational needs.

- Document and communicate category merchandising strategies and layouts with the Lead Regional Merchandising Specialist.

- Engage with suppliers and the purchasing team regarding product selection, new items, and category expansions.

- Ensure cleanliness and compliance with company policies within the retail environment.

- Perform tasks such as stocking shelves, unloading deliveries, and managing product rotation.

- Adhere to scheduled work hours and attendance expectations.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Generate reports and presentations as required.
- Participate in company and industry meetings.
- Undertake other job-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; secondary education preferred. Previous experience in Hy-Vee retail operations is advantageous, particularly in merchandising and store setups.

Physical Requirements:
Visual Acuity:
Ability to see details at close range, with or without correction.

- Must be capable of performing sedentary tasks, including occasional lifting of items weighing up to 10 pounds, as well as standing, walking, reaching, handling, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment:
The responsibilities of this position are carried out in a retail setting, where there may be frequent pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Equipment Utilized:

- Standard office equipment, including calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephones, printers, and PCs equipped with Microsoft Office software.

Financial Accountability:
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of travel expenses and submitting expense reports promptly.
Contacts:
- Regular interaction with store personnel, occasional contact with suppliers/vendors, and frequent communication with office staff in related departments.
Confidentiality:
- Access to sensitive information, including company-wide sales data and new store locations.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel and overnight stays may be necessary.
