Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Represent Westlake Hardware positively and assist customers in resolving inquiries.
  • Welcome customers as they enter and thank them upon their departure.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, fostering good relationships with both customers and team members.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all inquiries and calls.
  • Direct unresolved customer complaints to management.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of products and store layout.
Store Operations:
  • Conduct cycle counts and maintain desirable inventory levels in designated departments.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure that maintenance and repairs are performed to safeguard all physical assets.
  • Oversee the accurate receiving, checking, and stocking of merchandise.
  • Manage back stock levels effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Ensure timely execution of weekly price adjustments.
  • Complete monthly cycle counts and address negative inventory reports.
  • Support the maintenance of a tidy sales floor, including promotional displays.
  • Participate in merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Ensure that signage is up-to-date in assigned departments.
  • Operate a forklift safely, following proper training.
  • Communicate any issues requiring Store Support Center attention to the General Manager.
  • Engage in store meetings and share merchandising or cost control ideas with management.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in retail sales or replenishment preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and climb as needed.
Compensation:
