Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and accurate responses to incoming telephone calls and page requests
- Operate the SPOK Console and hospital public address system to announce emergency codes and notify personnel
- Monitor alarm panels and notify appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Assist customers at the information desk and provide approved hospital and patient status information
- Record and disburse patient valuables and maintain a key log for visitors
- Supply mail room services, including sorting and processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Respond to requests for assistance with beeper paging and other communications systems
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in direct customer relations or communications center preferred
- Experience with Microsoft O365 and Internet
- Ability to interact with associates, physicians, visitors, and patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to constant interruptions and handle critical response situations in a calm and organized manner
