Responsibilities

As an HVAC Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support on HVAC construction projects by reading and interpreting blueprints as needed by the foreman. You will also be responsible for laying out roof penetrations and ducting, as well as sheet metal fittings, as directed by the foreman.

You will work closely with the construction foreman to ensure timely and quality completion of projects. Additionally, you will provide support by coordinating and following job schedules, including labor hours and material costs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of HVAC sheet metal installation and piping of commercial HVAC units. You will also need to have knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, as well as the ability to perform sheet metal assembly.

You will need to be able to read blueprints on HVAC refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing, and have the ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers. Additionally, you will need to have good mechanical skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a high school diploma and trade or technical school classes, as well as 4+ years of experience in the construction industry. You will also need to have hands-on field experience in commercial HVAC construction and major market remodeling.

You will need to have knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools, as well as refrigeration equipment and blueprints. Additionally, you will need to have the ability to detail HVAC duct fittings.
