We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team as a Cook. As a Cook at Taziki's Cafe, you will be responsible for preparing fresh food items daily, setting up and stocking stations, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare fresh food items daily, including menu items and catering orders.
- Station Setup and Maintenance: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Menu and Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Order Management: Manage orders efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health department standards and company policies.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience: Experienced preferred, but not required - we will train you.
- Knife Skills: Possess proper knife skills and ability to operate all necessary kitchen equipment.
- Communication: Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
- Work Ethic: Exhibit a strong work ethic, passion, and urgency in your work.
- Reliability: Demonstrate dependability and reliability in your work schedule and attendance.
A typical work day at Taziki's Cafe may include morning shifts from 8am to 4pm, evening shifts from 4pm to 10pm, and weekends and holidays as needed. You will work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment, using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.
Your physical requirements include prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds, and cooking.
