Job Opportunity at Taziki's Cafe

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team as a Cook. As a Cook at Taziki's Cafe, you'll play a vital role in preparing fresh, delicious food for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food items daily, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Develop and maintain menu and product knowledge, providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare catering orders, adhering to quality and presentation standards.
  • Properly handle and store food products, maintaining health department standards.
  • Maintain proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance, setting a positive example for colleagues.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen, dish, and prep areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform shift-side work, including opening and closing duties, and complete all required certifications.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience preferred but not required; we'll provide training.
  • Proper knife skills and ability to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team as needed.
  • Strong work ethic, passion, and urgency, with a professional attitude and respect for colleagues, the establishment, and the brand.
Working Conditions and Hours:

A typical workday at Taziki's Cafe may include morning shifts from 8am to 4pm, evenings from 4pm to 10pm, weekends, and holidays. Hours will vary by store. You'll work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment, using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.

Your physical requirements include prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds, and cooking.
