POSITION SUMMARY:

ATS Trans LLC is a leading transportation provider in the Puget Sound region, dedicated to serving individuals with special needs and those requiring reliable point-to-point transport services.

The primary responsibility of the Vehicle Operator/Driver is to safely and efficiently operate a passenger vehicle, ensuring timely transportation for clients while providing assistance as needed. The vehicles may include lift-equipped mini-buses, vans, or sedans.

Key Responsibilities:

To excel in this role, the individual must effectively perform the following essential duties:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to their destinations punctually.
  • Utilize wheelchair lifts as required.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including maneuvering wheelchairs over curbs and ramps.
  • Engage with passengers to understand their needs and provide appropriate support.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the company uniform policy.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel.
  • Use GPS and mapping tools competently to navigate the safest and most efficient routes.
  • Report any service or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Document accidents or incidents immediately and assist injured individuals until help arrives.
  • Maintain accurate passenger records using the driver tablet.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle's interior and exterior.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Stay updated on required training and certifications.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • At least 5 years of driving experience.
  • Valid driver's license for the state of Washington.
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Successful completion of a 7-day company training program.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Proven excellent attendance record.
