POSITION SUMMARY:
ATS Trans LLC is a leading transportation provider in the Puget Sound region, dedicated to serving individuals with special needs and those requiring reliable point-to-point transport services.
The primary responsibility of the Vehicle Operator/Driver is to safely and efficiently operate a passenger vehicle, ensuring timely transportation for clients while providing assistance as needed. The vehicles may include lift-equipped mini-buses, vans, or sedans.
Key Responsibilities:
To excel in this role, the individual must effectively perform the following essential duties:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to their destinations punctually.
- Utilize wheelchair lifts as required.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including maneuvering wheelchairs over curbs and ramps.
- Engage with passengers to understand their needs and provide appropriate support.
- Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the company uniform policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel.
- Use GPS and mapping tools competently to navigate the safest and most efficient routes.
- Report any service or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Document accidents or incidents immediately and assist injured individuals until help arrives.
- Maintain accurate passenger records using the driver tablet.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle's interior and exterior.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.
- Stay updated on required training and certifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- At least 5 years of driving experience.
- Valid driver's license for the state of Washington.
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Successful completion of a 7-day company training program.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
- Proven excellent attendance record.

- Manual dexterity and sensory capabilities to perform job functions effectively.
