About Homes for the Homeless, Inc.

Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families facing homelessness in NYC. Our aim is to create a nurturing environment where families can flourish and gain access to essential resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in shared spaces.
  • Assist in the upkeep of restrooms and dining areas.
  • Ensure availability of cleaning materials.
  • Manage floor care responsibilities.
  • Prepare and clean living units.
  • Dust and sanitize furnishings and equipment.
  • Help identify potential safety risks.
  • Perform outdoor maintenance tasks.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of lifting weights up to 60 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:
