Clinical Nutrition Specialist

NutraCo is a leading provider of Clinical Nutrition Services to Long Term Care facilities across the United States. We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Registered Dietitian to join our team in a Full-Time position located onsite near Staten Island, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent NutraCo's focus on providing compassionate care, with respect and dignity to residents
  • Address nutrition-related health problems in residents, such as malnutrition, undesirable weight loss, wound healing, chronic disease states, enteral nutrition therapy, parenteral nutrition therapy, and other nutrition-related diagnoses
  • Partner with other dietitians and facility staff to ensure optimal care for residents
  • Complete necessary clinical assessments, including new admission, follow-up, quarterly, and annual assessments
  • Chart within the EMR system
  • Attend meetings, including interdisciplinary team meetings, weight meetings, care plan meetings, and daily meal rounds
  • Complete a monthly sanitation audit and sign off on dietary menus
  • Work with the dietary technician or clinical nutrition manager to manage care of residents, if applicable

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and provide annual verification or be registration eligible with a verification statement
  • Meet state licensure guidelines
  • Meet facility vaccination requirements
  • Reliable transportation
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Previous LTC or skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required
