Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Roseburg, Oregon. The successful candidate will work closely with our project managers and superintendents to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project manager and superintendent in implementing SBJ policies and executing projects.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, working with the project team to minimize schedule constraints.
  • Develop and maintain various document control entities, such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builds, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
  • Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to affected parties.
  • Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings, including owner/architect/contractor meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Participate in project cost control.
  • Support a culture of creativity and accountability, solving problems in new ways while maintaining organizational commitments.
  • Actively promote SBJ's safety culture and practices, providing insight and supervision for developing and maintaining construction safety policies, procedures, and practices.

Requirements:

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Procore, and scheduling software.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a project engineer.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as plans and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, file management, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve and develop outcomes with multiple stakeholders.
