Job Overview

Aviation Specialties Unlimited is in search of a proficient Night Vision Goggle Technician to enhance our operational capabilities. This position entails the thorough inspection, repair, and upkeep of night vision goggles to ensure they meet stringent recertification standards. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to guarantee that our clientele receives top-tier, dependable, and efficient night vision equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and tests on night vision goggles to detect faults and operational issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to uphold optimal functionality of the equipment.
  • Complete necessary work orders and maintain documentation in accordance with established business protocols.
  • Maintain precise records of all repair and maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges associated with night vision goggles.
  • Engage with clients and team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for goggle services.
  • Initiate communication with clients to confirm service compliance and validate service agreements.
Qualifications
  • An associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in goggle maintenance and repair is required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. A solid understanding of night vision technology, proficiency in testing equipment, and the capability to diagnose and repair devices are essential.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Hazardous Materials endorsement within six (6) months of employment.
  • Physical capability to stand, sit, walk, and navigate stairs to upper management offices. Must have full use of hands, arms, eyes, ears, and voice.
  • Proficient in using communication devices such as phones, fax machines, and computers. Ability to travel via commercial or private aircraft for client and vendor interactions.
  • Strong logical thinking skills to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking) are required. Familiarity with aviation and night vision terminology is essential.
  • Possession of strong writing skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly. Must thrive in a collaborative work environment.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience and a NVG Repairman Certificate are required.
