Cashier II

TravelCenters of America is seeking a skilled Cashier II to join our team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

• Process transactions efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale system
• Provide courteous and helpful service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the food and beverage area
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, adhering to planograms and inventory management procedures
• Support the training of lower-level cashiers, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Prioritize tasks according to store needs, ensuring a high level of productivity and efficiency
• Adhere to safety guidelines and report any potential hazards or incidents
• Develop strong relationships with colleagues and leaders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

• 2+ years of cashier experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting
• Strong computer and POS system skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Cash handling and management skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Merchandising and stocking experience, with knowledge of planograms and inventory management
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
