Position Summary:
Bizzell Group is seeking a qualified Plumber with significant expertise in facilities maintenance to join our Facilities Management team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and upkeep of plumbing systems, ensuring the functionality and safety of all facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, and fixtures.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address plumbing issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance to enhance the durability and reliability of plumbing systems.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to support overall operational efficiency.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes effectively.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing situations and implement solutions.
- Utilize hand and power tools, along with specialized plumbing equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials utilized.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Engage in ongoing training to remain updated with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training in plumbing is preferred.
- Valid plumbing license required.
- A minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience with a focus on facilities maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Familiarity with plumbing-related health and safety regulations.
- Experience in high-tech or research environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
- Understanding of sustainable practices and green building initiatives is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer. Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
