As a Community Troop Coordinator, your role will involve supporting the establishment of new troops within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and mentor girls and adult volunteers to establish newly formed community-based Girl Scout troops.
- Organize and train troop volunteers to facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
- Create and implement engaging Girl Scout activities for girls, including troop meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships within the community, representing Girl Scouts at local events.
- High school diploma with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge for the role.
- Experience working with youth is essential.
- Familiarity with local educational institutions and community organizations is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Availability during evenings and weekends is required, with a commitment of up to 19 hours per week.
