About the Role:

Dana Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Co-Op to join our team. As a Purchasing Co-Op, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of various purchasing projects and supporting the purchasing team in all aspects of procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the completion of purchasing projects, including data collection, quote preparation, and supplier selection.
  • Support the purchasing team in all aspects of procurement, including supplier ECRs, data-based systems, and spend analysis reports.
  • Coordinate with engineering, program management, and finance functions to communicate customer expectations to the purchasing team.
  • Lead and facilitate quote tracking meetings with commodity managers.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and negotiations with buyers.
  • Work closely with engineering on cost savings projects and supplier technical reviews.
  • Interface with external and internal customers and suppliers, both verbally and in written format.
  • Provide backup support for the Purchasing Buyer/Sr. Buyer.

Requirements:

  • Enrollment in a Supply Chain program.
  • Proven work experience, not necessarily technical.
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of Dana and external customers.
  • Self-directed and motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and a sense of responsibility.
