Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Preproduction Manager to join our team at ITRADE STEM in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of production activities to ensure efficient and timely project completion for one of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and production teams to develop detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Preproduction Task Management: Ensure all preproduction tasks are completed on schedule, including scheduling meetings, coordinating resources, and managing timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior production staff, providing guidance and support to enhance skills and performance.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and respect among team members.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Production Workflow Management: Monitor production workflows and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate rush jobs or changes in project scope.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between production, graphics, and project management teams for project alignment and clarity.
  • Project Status Updates: Proactively communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers as needed to support production activities.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all production outputs meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Proof Review: Review and approve proofs and final products before delivery to clients.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Production Management, Project Management, Graphic Design).
  • Experience: Proven experience in production management or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing or graphic design environment.
  • Production Knowledge: Strong understanding of production processes, project management methodologies, and team dynamics.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and production scheduling tools (e.g., Filemaker Pro).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Process Improvement: Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Creative Background: Creative background or experience in graphic design is beneficial but not required.
Working Conditions:
  • Overtime: May require occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: A fast-paced work environment with the need to adapt to changing priorities.
