Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Production Manager to join our team at Candidates With a Future. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing and designing efficient manufacturing processes to drive productivity and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and design sequence of operations to improve efficiencies in manufacturing processes, including cutting, forming, welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing, and paint.
  • Facility Layout and Design: Analyze and design sequence of operations to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts, and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Accident Prevention and Training: Establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
  • Cost Control and Inventory Management: Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems, and develop and implement plans and programs for product design and facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Collaboration with Design Engineers: Assist design engineers in the planning and design of products with emphasis on efficient use of equipment and labor resources to increase throughput.
Requirements
  • Experience: Managed the program database for CNC machines, ensuring seamless operation and efficient production.
  • Technical Skills: Created and edited setup sheets for various machining processes, including lathe, mill, and 5-axis machines, and established standardized documentation processes for work instructions and engineering procedures.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
