College Adviser

The University of Georgia is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated College Adviser to join our team. As a College Adviser, you will play a critical role in helping students navigate the college admissions process and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Work with high school seniors to provide guidance on college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
- Assist students in researching and applying to colleges, as well as completing financial aid forms and applications.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase college access and success for low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students.
- Collaborate with high school counselors and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Track student progress and outcomes using the College Advising Corps Student GRACE web-based system.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree by July 2024.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of college admissions processes and financial aid options.
- Experience working with students from low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented backgrounds.
