About the Position

The Department of Economics in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia is seeking qualified applicants for one or more tenure-track positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. The anticipated employment start date is August 1, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics
  • Conduct research in economics and publish scholarly articles
  • Advise students and mentor junior faculty members
  • Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or international equivalent. A research record commensurate with rank is required for all candidates. Assistant-level candidates should show promise of moving toward excellence in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

Specialization in labor economics is highly desirable. The department is particularly interested in candidates with a strong research record and a commitment to teaching excellence.
