We have a diverse faculty with expertise in various areas of engineering, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and materials science. About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in electric mobility, conducting research in electric power technologies, and contributing to the development of the college's research initiatives in electric mobility. The candidate will also be expected to participate in departmental and college service activities, including advising students, serving on committees, and contributing to the development of the college's strategic plan.

Requirements
  • Ph.D. in any engineering discipline or closely-related discipline with expertise relevant to the field of e-mobility.
  • Documented research background appropriate for the appointment rank, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and secure external funding to support research initiatives.
  • Strong alignment with the college's research initiatives in electric mobility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Track record of research and scholarship in electric power technologies, cyber-physical systems, advanced materials, battery technology, charging infrastructure, energy storage and grid technology, vehicle electrification, vehicle to grid technologies, lightweight materials, autonomous electrical vehicles, environmental sustainability, cybersecurity, human-machine interactions, solar cell technology, and electrochemistry.
  • Ability to lead and execute research initiatives that align with state initiatives and industry partnerships.
  • Knowledge of the innovation ecosystem and ability to create intellectual property and support entrepreneurial activities.
