Nuclear Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC. As a Nuclear Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of our nuclear facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform state-of-the-art calculations and validation experiments to maintain and improve safety within the nuclear industry.
- Prepare documentation supporting evaluations and analyses, and verify routine design evaluations and analyses performed by others.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and internal functional groups to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
- Develop skills necessary to assume more independent assignments and support business strategic initiatives.
- Identify and recommend improvements in processes, and assist in implementation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical).
- 0-3 years of experience.
- Coding skills in MathCAD, C++, Fortran, Visual Basic, or Dispersion Modelling.
- Experience with severe accident modeling and analysis, thermal-hydraulics modeling and analysis, facility hazard modeling and analysis, equipment qualification, and/or laboratory experience with custom experiments.
