Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and experienced instructor to teach a beginning-level Spanish class for the Fall 2024 semester. The class will be held on campus, two mornings per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students and assess their learning
  • Design and assign coursework to measure student progress
  • Provide clear and timely feedback to students
  • Hold office hours and be available to students
  • Contribute to student retention and completion initiatives
  • Participate in outcomes assessment and respond to data
  • Collaborate with student support offices and professionals
  • Report grades and reconcile incomplete grades as necessary
  • Engage in professional development and attend required meetings
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with second language learners
  • Ability to use technology in teaching
  • Positive, cooperative, and supportive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior community college teaching experience
  • Demonstrated record of intercultural and equity-minded practices
Work Environment

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of an office, meeting, and training room setting. The use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, computers for data entry and word processing, and avoidance of trips and falls are essential.
