Reports To: Kitchen Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Under general direction of the Kitchen Manager, to be responsible for a donut shop operation, to include the production of quality baked goods according to stringent deadlines, based on a precise knowledge of all of the company outlined recipes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production process to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time.
  • Supervise and train staff to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate food costs and profits, and adjust staff to achieve cost and profit goals.
  • Control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation, minimizing waste, and ensuring high quality of preparation.
  • Maximize restaurant profitability by ensuring portion control, monitoring accuracy of charges, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and securing revenues.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments, and performing other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager, Director of Company Operations, and/or Chief Operations Officer.

Requirements:

  • Must have open availability and reliable transportation.
  • Must speak fluent English and have the ability to train staff in English; other languages highly desirable, especially Spanish (a pay differential is available for bilingual Managers).
  • Must demonstrate mastery of the Baker I, II, III, and Assistant Production Manager job descriptions.
  • Must have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
