Communicate effectively with the Service Department to ensure their parts and accessory needs are fulfilled. Engage directly with customers, both in-person and via phone, to assess and provide them with the necessary parts and accessories. Collaborate with new sales customers to enhance sales and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain a tidy and organized parts and accessories environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Professional Interaction with Service Department:

  • Process service technicians' parts orders promptly.
  • Assist service technicians in identifying parts and accessories needed for specific tasks.
  • Suggest additional parts that may be necessary for a job.
  • Provide cost information for parts on repair orders.
  • Receive and document incoming merchandise into inventory.
  • Inform service personnel when special or backordered parts arrive.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization within the parts and accessories department.

Customer Engagement:

  • Welcome customers immediately with courtesy and friendliness.
  • Develop and share expertise on all parts and accessories, parts history, and motorcycle service.
  • Manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously while ensuring individual satisfaction.
  • Handle phone transactions efficiently and courteously.
  • Highlight any promotions, specials, or new products to customers.
  • Assist customers in determining their parts and accessory needs, utilizing catalogs and other resources.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions for purchases.
  • Maintain accuracy in cash register operations.
  • Address customer complaints with empathy and a positive demeanor.

Maintain a Clean and Efficient Parts Environment:

  • Receive parts from suppliers and verify against purchase invoices.
  • Label merchandise and organize it for display or stock.
  • Participate in regular physical inventory checks of all merchandise.
  • Ensure merchandise displays are well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Keep customer mailing lists updated.
  • Become proficient with all aspects of the computer system used for parts management.
4) Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Knowledge and experience with servicing motorcycles and related products, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale and computerized inventory systems, or the ability to learn.
  • Understanding of motorcycle components and a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Ability to look up parts and provide pricing using the appropriate catalogs.
  • Capability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively.
  • Must adhere to regular attendance and punctuality policies.
