Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for indirect categories, including chemicals, industrial gases, waste management, professional services, and indirect materials.
  • Lead the negotiation and closing of high-value, long-term agreements with suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relationships, partnerships, and development to drive business results.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and assess their competitiveness, capability, and business needs.
  • Execute RFQs to determine supplier capabilities, risks, pricing, and services, focusing on total cost of ownership.
  • Develop channels of supply and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), continuous improvements, innovation, savings opportunities, and mitigation of supply chain risks.
  • Identify, select, and develop strategic supplier partnerships to generate new supplier capability or competency and drive competitive advantage.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, including tracking KPIs, conducting supplier audits, and addressing performance issues.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management, including supplier performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to overall supply chain strategy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Greater than seven years of progressive experience in manufacturing or a related field.
  • Negotiating skills combined with knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of contractual requirements, business systems, and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or additional education.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $105,000.00-$130,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer:

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
