Position Overview:

The Solar Field Service Technician is tasked with diagnosing and rectifying issues related to solar PV and battery storage systems, which includes urgent repairs, modifications, and upgrades. This role also encompasses Preventative Maintenance duties to enhance the operational efficiency of the O&M portfolio, alongside conducting QA/QC inspections, system commissioning, and preliminary site evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute O&M activities such as electrical and mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance, infrared scanning, torque checks on connections, and assessments of overall site conditions.

· Respond to system alarms and dispatch services as required.

· Compile inspection and service reports for site visits, emergency interventions, equipment modifications, and troubleshooting efforts.

· Ensure that all sites operate at optimal power levels and efficiency.

· Manage site conditioning and vegetation control.

· Collaborate closely with EPC Project Managers to facilitate a smooth transition from EPC Construction to O&M Maintenance.

· Liaise with Engineering, O&M teams, and Management to guarantee prompt and effective resolution of all maintenance activities.

· Uphold a safe working environment by strictly adhering to company protocols.

· Conduct audits of site processes to ensure compliance.

· Enforce procedures and guidelines in accordance with site-specific O&M standards.

· Perform site/system evaluations and QA/QC inspections.

Qualifications:

· Associate's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical Certification/Training.

· Licensed Electrician and NABCEP certification preferred.

· Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Minimum of one (1) year experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial-scale battery storage systems preferred.

· Ability to work independently and remotely.

· Preferred experience in project management or field operations management.

· Previous exposure to power electronic conversion equipment.

· Familiarity with metering and testing equipment.

· Experience with centralized DAS/SCADA/EMS control systems.

· Working knowledge of Commercial Power Plant Operations.

· Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.

· Familiarity with CMMS-based work order/ticketing systems and mobile reporting tools.

· Understanding of NEC and local building codes, as well as OSHA safety standards (OSHA 30 preferred).

· Competence in efficiently troubleshooting system failures.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Must be capable of climbing ladders, stairs, and working on rooftops.

· Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
