About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and management of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Design: Plan, design, and oversee the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
  • Site Investigations and Data Analysis: Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other) to inform project decisions.
  • Technical Studies and Blueprints: Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
  • Design Software and Calculations: Use a range of computer software for developing detailed designs and undertake complex calculations.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff such as architects and planners.
  • Project Monitoring and Inspection: Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
  • Contract Administration and Project Management: Administer contracts, manage projects, monitor progress, and track and control project costs.
  • Infrastructure Development: Design and oversee the construction of infrastructure for the transportation of electricity from substations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Professional Registration: Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
  • Software Skills: Strong knowledge of industry-standard design software such as Civil 3D.
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and lead teams.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: High level of mathematical proficiency.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal, state, and local construction regulations.
  • Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a dedication to accuracy.
