Established in 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group, Inc., has been delivering comprehensive electrical construction solutions to clients across the western United States.

Sturgeon Electric operates through two divisions, providing both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical services, establishing itself as a full-service electrical contractor.


The Commercial and Industrial (C&I) division specializes in extensive commercial electrical projects, including telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, and high voltage distribution service and maintenance.

Sturgeon Electric has a wealth of experience executing projects using Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods and offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) services.


Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all assigned duties are completed with precision and delivered promptly

Perform data entry tasks

Manage various accounting functions, including processing payroll

Utilize Microsoft Excel for effective data management

Prepare and file invoices

Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and visitors by welcoming and directing them appropriately

Offer administrative support to both field and office staff

Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail

Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, and phone systems

Answer phone calls, provide essential information, and transfer calls as necessary

Efficiently manage the flow of information and personnel within the organization

Maintain regular and predictable attendance

Perform other duties as assigned

Essential functions of this role are to be carried out in a designated office or field location

Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other relevant professional standards.

About You:
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and/or general administrative roles

A high school diploma or GED is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality

Proficient in JD Edwards/payroll system module

Strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting management

Meticulous attention to detail

Self-motivated with a positive attitude

Professional appearance and demeanor

Flexibility to work in various locations as needed

Salary range of $40,100-$54,000 per year, commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Salary ranges are provided in good faith, and MYR Group reserves the right to adjust based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
