Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Relations Manager to lead the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives that enhance our company's brand reputation and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in media relations, working directly with reporters and outlets to tell the story of Electra.

Key Responsibilities
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists, preparing press releases, media kits, pitches, and responses.
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Collaborate with the Head of Communications to create and execute comprehensive communication plans that shape and share the company's narrative and impact.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality content, including speeches, articles, newsletters, and digital content, ensuring alignment with company messaging and brand voice.
  • Social Media Management: Develop campaigns across targeted platforms consistent with Corporate strategy that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Community Engagement: Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and community leaders.
Requirements
  • BS degree or related experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in communications, media/public relations, public affairs, or a related role.
  • Extensive experience pitching media outlets and working with reporters on developing stories.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies, demonstrated with data analytics.
  • Strong writing background, including writing press releases, blogs, social media content, and presentations, demonstrated through a portfolio of past work.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in terms understandable to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in start-up or fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with technology and industrial processes.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $108,000-$140,000 annually, but it may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education.
