Payroll Specialist and Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist and Administrative Assistant to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for approximately 500 associates, maintaining the Kronos time-keeping system, and troubleshooting all payroll-related issues and questions. You will also be responsible for maintaining attendance and punctuality information on plant associates, performing analytical research, and providing reports to plant management. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining office equipment, intercom system, disaster preparedness plan, and ordering office supplies as needed.
### Key Responsibilities
* Process payroll for approximately 500 associates, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payments.
* Maintain the Kronos time-keeping system, troubleshooting any issues and ensuring accurate data entry.
* Troubleshoot all payroll-related issues and questions, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
* Maintain attendance and punctuality information on plant associates, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
* Perform analytical research and provide reports to plant management, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
* Maintain office equipment, intercom system, disaster preparedness plan, and order office supplies as needed.
* Enter daily production data into Excel spreadsheets as needed, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
* Provide information to associates regarding benefits, policies, and practices, ensuring clarity and understanding.
* Track and report on associates who are on FMLA, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
* Order uniforms for associates and review invoices as needed, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
* Answer and route incoming calls to the plant, providing timely and accurate responses.
* Maintain associate personnel and medical files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Maintain the Communications Center as needed, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
* Provide clerical support to staff as needed, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
### Required Skills and Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent experience.
* Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
* Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
* Ability to complete tasks independently.
* Ability to multi-task and stay focused with many interruptions.
* Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Ability to create letters, reports, and memos.
* Accurate typing skills.
* Professional telephone etiquette.
* Good judgment and ability to make accurate and sound business decisions.
* Ability to work under deadline constraints and handle a high volume of work accurately.
* Professionalism and confidentiality.
* Demonstrate attentiveness to detail.
* Good human relation skills (ability to work well with others and be a team member).

### Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This salary range is based on industry standards and the requirements of the position.
### Work Environment
This position is located at a Publix Super Market facility, with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will be required to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, and will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy.
