Role Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive IT support, project management, and technical services across various departments and end users.
  • Lead projects from the initial evaluation phase through to planning, design, and execution.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Implement virtualization technologies utilizing VMware and Hyper-V, including the deployment and maintenance of server, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Deploy and manage disaster recovery technology solutions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure cloud services for technology solution deployment and management.
  • Implement, deploy, and maintain productivity and security solutions using Microsoft 365.
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM).
  • Have experience with Defender for Endpoint.
  • Deploy and manage Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Manage and maintain network and network security solutions from various vendors.
  • Experience with Meraki solutions (switches and access points) is an asset.
  • Understand Point-to-Point wireless technologies and telephony.
  • Provide technical support and escalation response to both end-users and IT personnel.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, or configuration issues for clients.
  • Create precise documentation and develop standards.
  • Understand IT auditing and inventory management processes.
  • Have knowledge of licensing requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by providing leadership and assistance to colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify suitable vendors and cultivate strong partnerships.
  • Assist in developing proposals and pre-sales activities, including presenting technologies and solutions to clients.
  • Enhance solution offerings for customers by utilizing new and emerging technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer personnel.
  • Complete certification exams and training to demonstrate skillset and strengthen vendor relationships.
  • Participate in trade shows and business development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the employer, including completing expense reports and timesheets.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required (up to 30%).

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships and acting as a facilitator.
  • Flexible team player with a proven ability to succeed in a matrix reporting environment.
  • Strong motivation to stay current in a rapidly evolving IT landscape.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Sciences with a minimum of 5 years of IT generalist experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
