Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor for Overnight Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to join our team for our overnight shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of maintenance mechanics, ensuring production equipment is maintained to company standards, and enforcing safety and GMP practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of maintenance mechanics
  • Ensure production equipment is maintained in a manner that meets company standards and minimizes equipment downtime
  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards
  • Enforce safety, GMP, and housekeeping practices
  • Balance quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
  • Ensure effective employee relations, provide employee coaching and development, and make employment decisions
  • Oversee training and cross-training of assigned staff, appraise performance, and initiate discipline processes
  • Accountable for ensuring all health and safety policies and regulations are enforced, including issuing disciplinary actions and performing accident investigations
  • Verify labor hours and payroll report accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years maintenance experience and knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical, and mechanical systems required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques/scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations, including product and employee safety, product quality, and cost control
  • Experience working with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization
  • Solid problem-solving, project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and resourceful
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
