Job Overview

Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by effectively managing and supervising designated venue operations, including convention services, bar management, and front-of-the-house (FOH) operations across various dining establishments.

Key Responsibilities

Exhibit flexibility to work any/all assigned shifts. Uphold the highest standards of customer service. Promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages and adhere to departmental policies regarding alcohol control. Foster the desired quality of food and beverage offerings. Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner. Document and report incidents of interest involving food and beverage staff and patrons to the Food & Beverage Manager. Provide written shift summaries as required. Propose initiatives to reduce costs, enhance sales/customer satisfaction, and improve employee performance. Follow through on approved suggestions. Execute human resource management tasks as directed by the Food & Beverage Manager, including training new hires, identifying training needs, assigning work, motivating performance, and addressing complaints. Maintain knowledge and skills necessary to perform duties of all subordinate roles. Manage inventory as directed by the Food & Beverage Manager. Adhere to sales transaction processing and reporting procedures for various payment methods. Process gaming point redemption purchases in accordance with established protocols. Follow company and departmental complimentary policies and procedures. Issue non-gaming comps to guests as necessary to enhance customer loyalty. Ensure a clean and safe working environment. Communicate effectively with all food and beverage staff, other departments, and external representatives to maintain a productive operation. Safeguard and account for company assets. Comply with policies and procedures set forth by the department, the company, and relevant gaming commissions. Enforce all policies fairly. Monitor the casino environment and adhere to established safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and coworkers. Collaborate respectfully and effectively with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold company values. Maintain the highest ethical standards in all duties performed. Complete evaluations and onboarding questionnaires for team members promptly. Approve and update team member time cards and requests for paid time off. Create schedules as necessary for each venue.

Additional Responsibilities

Arrive at work on time and in professional attire, maintaining a high level of personal cleanliness. Encourage staffing levels that support optimal customer service and resource allocation. Ensure all areas are clean and stocked for the next shift. Conduct shift meetings as directed to address operational issues, review policies, and communicate significant changes. Attend all required meetings and training sessions. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

This position has the authority to maximize training opportunities, evaluate performance, enforce standards, manage staff scheduling, and implement disciplinary actions as necessary. This role directly supervises various dining room attendants, hosts, wait staff, bartenders, and utility personnel.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud noise levels and a smoke-filled environment. Some lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods. Occasional bending, squatting, reaching, balancing, and pushing or pulling equipment may be necessary. Compliance with the dress code is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. Requires a high school diploma or GED. One (1) year of food and beverage experience in a large-scale operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is essential. Basic computer or point-of-sale system skills are required. Must be able to obtain a gaming license as per regulatory requirements.

Skills/Abilities: Must possess the ability to interact with the public, customers, Tribal officials, and employees with courtesy and tact. Ability to work independently without supervision is essential. Must be able to read, write, understand, interpret, and implement policies and procedures. Must handle busy and stressful situations with poise and flexibility. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Must meet all internal supervisory training and education requirements.

Preference: Qualified applicants who are members of the Meskwaki Nation and other Native American Tribes are encouraged to apply and will receive preference in accordance with established procedures.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from participating in any casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position may engage in any casino game while off duty. Employees and their household members are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for guests.
