Shift Differential: For hours worked 4pm - 12 am ($.50/hour) or 12am - 8am ($1.00/hour)

Job Summary

Responsible for the maintenance, installation, servicing, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems, equipment, and components within the casino complex. Ensure the upkeep of the gaming and hotel facility structures for both aesthetic appeal and operational functionality. Diagnose and rectify issues across various facility areas with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Troubleshoot and repair commercial-grade HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and components.
  2. Utilize blueprints and diagrams for the installation of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  3. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  4. Perform minor carpentry repairs to building structures and finishes.
  5. Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  6. Review and adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and manufacturer recommendations regarding equipment and work practices.
  7. Collaborate with various skilled trades personnel to complete job assignments.
  8. Monitor HVAC automation networks using company PCs.
  9. Provide timely progress reports, job reports, and completed work orders to Department Management.
  10. Effectively communicate and network with staff, other departments, and external representatives to maintain a productive department operation.
  11. Safeguard and account for company assets.
  12. Comply with departmental and company policies, as well as regulations from the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  13. Observe the casino environment and adhere to established safety protocols to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues.
  14. Work collaboratively as part of the company team to promote guest satisfaction and asset protection.
  15. Report to work punctually and in professional attire, maintaining high standards of personal cleanliness.

Supplemental Job Duties

  1. Provide maintenance services to other departments as requested through radio dispatch and work order requests.
  2. Track time and materials for assigned work orders and submit to supervisor upon completion.
  3. Notify supervisor of any discrepancies encountered while servicing machinery or equipment that may require external vendor assistance.
  4. Submit a Daily Report (work log) to the supervisor at the end of each shift.
  5. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  6. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud noise levels and a smoke-filled environment. Moderate lifting and pulling of up to 50 pounds is required. Significant reaching, twisting, crawling, stooping, grasping, climbing, kneeling, and use of hands, wrists, arms, and legs are necessary. Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, odors, and hazardous equipment may occur. Must be available for on-call duties 24 hours a day, including weekends. Confidentiality is required.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Requires a certificate of training or one (1) year of relevant work experience. Must be able to understand and follow literature regarding proper installation and maintenance of equipment, tools, and devices. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills are essential. A valid Iowa Driver License is preferred. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with limited supervision. Must adhere to all Environment, Public Health, and Safety (EPHS) requirements. Strong computer skills are necessary. Ability to handle busy and stressful situations with poise and tact is required. Flexibility with working hours and days off is essential. Good organizational and communication skills are necessary. Knowledge of blueprints and schematics with attention to detail is required. Must meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Employees and their household members are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for guests.
