The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for delivering engineering services related to instrumentation and electrical systems. This includes aspects such as design, estimation, reporting, and cost management to ensure successful project implementation, as well as troubleshooting systems and providing support for daily maintenance operations.


Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Encouraging the use of instrumentation and automation technologies to enhance overall equipment efficiency, boost production performance, minimize maintenance tasks, and reduce total maintenance expenditures.

Assisting maintenance personnel and production teams with diagnostics and troubleshooting

Collaborating with process control engineers, process engineers, and production staff to identify and implement innovative instrumentation and control strategies aimed at improving product yields, decreasing energy consumption, and maximizing product value.

Overseeing project cost assessments and coordinating design and installation efforts.
Communicating updates in standards (such as NEC, OSHA, IEEE, etc.) that impact plant operations and equipment.

Providing specifications and support for various systems including process instrumentation, control wiring, heat trace systems, switchgear, motors, starters, lighting, generators, variable speed drives (VSDs), motor control centers (MCCs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and fire alarm systems.

Focusing on the creation and maintenance of precise and current design drawings and instrumentation specifications.
Participating in, leading, and offering support to HAZOP team studies.
Supervising contractor work as necessary.
Willingness to travel 2-3 days per week during the initial year.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, particularly in the application, implementation, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation
Experience in medium and high voltage distribution system maintenance
Familiarity with NFPA 70E work practices and arc flash methodologies.
