Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of consulting engineering and project management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about their work and thrive in an environment that fosters professional development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Be proficient in all facets of electrical systems design and specification.
  • Engage with architects, owners, and general contractors effectively.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team while also being capable of independent work.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and oversee a small team’s efforts.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in consulting Electrical Engineering.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is mandatory.
  • Experience with Department of Defense design projects is preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and manage projects of various scales.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Produce comprehensive construction documents, including drawings, power system studies, and specifications.
  • Oversee the execution of designs, including medium and low voltage AC, DC, single line diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment layouts.
  • Lead both interior and exterior lighting design projects, ensuring compliance with IESNA standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide engineering support throughout design and construction phases, including addressing comments from authorities having jurisdiction, reviewing shop drawings, and responding to requests for information.
  • Conduct reviews of deliverables, ensuring quality assurance and quality control throughout design and construction.
  • Act as a technical resource for internal staff.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Contribute positively to the overall goals, culture, and morale of the office and department.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and REVIT is essential.
  • RCDD certification is a plus.
