Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at Bayonne Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with mental health disorders, providing psychotherapeutic interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients using various methods, including interviews and assessments, to determine the best course of treatment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and circumstances.
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including medication management and counseling, to promote patient recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians and nurses, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements:
- MD degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program.
- State licensure and certification in psychiatry.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience with electronic medical records systems, such as eClinicalWorks and/or Meditech, is preferred.
- Strong teamworking, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
