Job SummaryCarePoint Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for our newly approved inpatient unit at Bayonne Medical Center. This position offers potential directorship and teaching opportunities, as well as engagement within a supportive hospital community.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients using various methods, including interviewing and consulting with family members or other individuals.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to patients' needs and the extent of their emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disorders.
- Treat patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medication, monitoring the effects and adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Consult with primary care physicians, nurses, or other healthcare providers.
- Provide crisis intervention when needed.
- Maintain accurate patient and clinical records, including treatment and medication administered.
- Stay up-to-date with professional knowledge by reading publications, attending conferences, or maintaining professional networks.
- Adhere to ethical and legal policies, procedures, and standards.
- MD degree from an accredited school.
- Completed psychiatry residency.
- State license or ability to obtain NJ license and certification.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience with eClinicalWorks and/or Meditech preferred.
- Strong teamworking, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
