Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide psychiatric management for adults, age 18 and up, in an acute inpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric management for adults, age 18 and up, in an acute inpatient setting
  • Develop treatment plans and manage electronic medical record (EPIC) in accordance with New York State Office of Mental Health and other regulations
  • Work with consultants as indicated by patient needs
  • Lead multi-disciplanary inpatient team with a caseload of 12 or less
  • Supervision of NP's and/or Psychiatry Residents
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychiatry residents and medical students
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team in management of complex cases
  • Participate in didactic training programs for psychiatric residents, medical students, psychology interns and other trainees
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York
