Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide compassionate and comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families in a dynamic and diverse urban setting.

Responsibilities

As an Inpatient Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Examining patients, ordering or performing diagnostic tests, and formulating diagnoses.
  • Directing or performing therapeutic treatment and counseling patients.
  • Providing guidance and participating in the teaching of house staff, staff conferences, and research projects.
  • Advising less experienced members of the professional medical staff.
  • Planning, organizing, and directing the operation of a major segment within a medical service or medical program.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry.
  • Hold an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Have completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry.
  • Be licensed to practice medicine in New York State.
